SEPAC DECEMBER Meeting

Tuesday December 13th 2011

Inspirational Speaker: Steve Wampler

http://rockonsteve.org/

Steve Wampler’s extreme quest to be the first person with Cerebral Palsy to climb El Capitan in Yosemite was an achievement in human endurance. With will power, athleticism and sheer guts, Steve undertook a challenge that would be unthinkable for most able bodied persons.

With support from people and corporations alike, the results of Steve’s attempt have become subject of a documentary planned for worldwide distribution. Look for “Wall – The Journey Up” a story of human triumph over adversity. Prior to the climb Steve’s intense endurance training, mindset and personal commitment was a reflection of a man dedicated to overachieve in life despite his disability. Many years ago he made the commitment that he would find a away to enable children with disabilities to not only take advantage of the great outdoors, but to embrace it.

Through his commitment to The Wampler Foundation, Steve has elevated himself to a position of “role model” for tens of millions of disabled kids and by extension, thousands of individuals, celebrities and corporations who have also made a commitment to make a real difference in their lives.
