SEPAC 2012-2013 BOARD ELECTIONS: Open Ballots, Nominees needed.
The Special Education
Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is composed of interested parents, teachers,
staff, and service providers within Coronado .
SEPAC's collaborative network provides support, information, and advocacy
opportunities at regular meetings and educational workshops throughout the
school year.
President
The President
must be a parent of an individual with exceptional needs currently being served
by the local plan and may not be a district employee. The President will
preside at all meetings of SEPAC and will sign all letters, reports, and
other communications. The President will open the meeting by calling the meeting
to order. He/she will announce the business to be acted upon, recognize members
entitled to the floor, state and put to vote all questions that are regularly
moved, and announce the result of the vote.
Vice-President
The
Vice-President must be a parent of an individual with exceptional needs
currently being served by the local plan and may not be a district employee.
The Vice-President will preside in the absence of the President. As well as be
in charge of annual board nominations.
Corresponding Secretary
The Corresponding
Secretary is responsible for correspondence as directed by the Committee and
will also forward proper notices of all called meetings, and other meetings
when necessary, to the district for distribution. Will be in charge of the
sign-in sheet and post current board minutes on our website.
Board Member at Large:
Board member at
large helps serve on the board and is a liaison with the community at
large. They help keep up informed on recreational opportunities and
other events in and around Coronado .
Past President:
The Past President
may continue to serve on the committee for one (1) year after his/her term of
office has expired. The Past President’s primary duties are to assist all
Committee officers in carrying out their duties.
